Walt Tamminen currently holds the position of Manager in Nokia's Standards and Industry Relations department. In that position he is responsible for Nokia's standards activities in the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the Mobile DTV Alliance and the WiMAX Forum Regulatory Working Group. Walt has over 24 years of experience in telecommunications. He has been with Nokia for the last 10 years and during that time has participated and held leadership positions in several industry forums including TIA, ATIS, 3GPP2, CDG, WiMAX and the ITU. From 1982 until 1986 he worked for GTE Corporation with responsibilities that included Customer Support Engineering and Software Systems development.

Walt received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1980. Walt has also completed graduate course work in telecommunications management at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Patrick Griffis is Senior Director, Worldwide Media Standards for the Windows Client Division of Microsoft responsible for digital media interoperability and standards strategy on a global basis. Prior to Microsoft, Patrick spent 15 years at Panasonic in senior management positions including VP/ Strategic Product Development at Panasonic Broadcast where he helped launch DVCPRO and drive HDTV strategy for the USA. Patrick started his career at RCA earning 8 patents in TV product design. Patrick is a member of the board of the Mobile DTV Alliance and a member of the board of the Digital Living Network Alliance as well as past Vice Chairman. Patrick also serves on the board of directors of the SMPTE Foundation and ATSC Forum and is past member of the board of the Advanced Television Systems Committee. Patrick Griffis has served as two term President of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society. Patrick holds a BSEE from Tufts University and an MSEE from Purdue University.
